Prof. Imam Syed Badiuddin Soharwardy is the founder and chairman of Sayyidah Fatemah (SA) Islamic Centre, Milton, Ontario. He is also the founder of the Islamic Supreme Council of Canada (ISCC). Imam Soharwardy has established Masajid and Madaris in all major cities of Canada. These Masajid (mosques) and Madaris (Islamic Schools) are the main centres of Ahlul Sunnah Wal Jama’ah. Following the tradition of Sufis, Imam Soharwardy walked across Canada from Halifax, N.S. to Victoria, B.C., and led Multi-Faith Walk Against Violence. He is the author of the famous book,Defeating Hate – A Comprehensive Rebuttal to Taleban, AlQaeda, ISIS, and Islamophobes.
